The wait is over for new product from our favorite, Victor Ark! And this will be sure to surprise existing fans and those that might be new to him as well. The are 2 mixes of "Nightdream" and they are such that you might think they are different songs since they are so dissimilar (that's meant in a good way). The "Extended Mix" is way uptempo and sounds very much like an extended radio or album track (think pop/rock). From the beginning, beautiful synth layering bringing in a warm melody. Uncredited female vocals, but Victor on the male vocals. Great hook on both the keyboards and vocals in the chorus. Instrumental synth break at 3:40 where the keyboards sound almost classical...just beautiful! The "Electro Potato Remix" is a full-fledged uptempo dance mix with different keyboard hook/vamps from the beginning. Same great female/male vocals on the verses and chorus, but you really feel like it's a different song because of the entire rhythm section having been worked into a dance mix (wise choice!). DJ friendly break at 3:30. The bonus song, "Send Me An Angel" is none other than a cover of the "Real Life" classic from the early 80's! The production, synths, and even vocals by Victor are all just incredible! At the opening when the beats and bassline first come it you think you might be listening to Donna Summer/I Feel Love, but once you get to the minute mark there's the song that you remember! This record has 2 songs, but as I've indicated, once you listen you'll think you have 3 different songs here. As you can see, the jacket also has killer artwork! This won't be around long.
